This program gives those who pleasure and trail ride or drive their Thoroughbreds and half-Thoroughbreds a way to work for an award.
THOROUGHBRED (Any ONE of the qualifications listed below)

2. Breeders affidavit (notarized) must give J.C. registration numbers, names of sire and dam.
3. Identified by legible lip tattoo (must be able to verify)
HALF- THOROUGHBRED (Any ONE of the qualifications listed below)
1. Remount registration
2. Registration, listing one Thoroughbred parent
3. Breeders affidavit (notarized) must give name and J.C. registration number of Thoroughbred parent
4. ID Certificate issued by Half-Thoroughbred Identifiers
1. This program is only for those Thoroughbreds and half-Thoroughbreds eligible for T.E.A. awards program.
2. Trail log hours go to the rider. Any number of horses may be used.
3. Hours NOT miles are to be recorded.
4. To accumulate hours for awards, riders must be members of TEA in good standing.
5. This program is based on the honor system. Riders are on their honor to record their correct hours.
6. The following type of hours can be recorded: Pleasure riding or driving on a trail, road, pasture or field. Any trail maintenance which is done while mounted.
DO NOT COUNT: Riding or driving in a show, parade, on a race track, or in an indoor or outdoor arena. Trail Trials, Judged or Competitive trail rides or endurance race competition. Note that while the actual judged competition or endurance race hours do not count, the training hours for those events can be counted.
7. Hour patches will be given for 25, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, 1500. 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, and 4000 hours. After log books have been submitted, your patch and book will be returned to you.
8. At each 1000 hours, TEA will publish your story and photo in the newsletter, if the information is submitted to the TEA secretary.
9. There is a one time enrollment fee of $10.00. upon receipt of rider registration, a log book and logo patch will be sent.
HIGH HOUR TRAIL RIDER AWARD
The rider who has accumulated the highest number of hours for the year will receive a year end award to be presented at the annual year end award banquet. A minimum of 75 hours must be logged in order to qualify for this award.
The trail ride log year starts October 1 and ends September 30th. In order to qualify for the year end award and certificate, log books must be sent in to TEA by October 14th.
All trail riders who submit their log books by the deadline will receive a certificate stating the current years logged hours and the total accumulative hours, regardless of how many hours were accumulated.
